New Zealand Exhibitions

Exhibitions were a feature of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, and were somewhat akin to today's Expo's.
New Zealand was basically mimicking Great Britain's example, where they had an annual Trade Exhibition to show off its industrial and cultural prowess.

In New Zealand the main centres of Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington all had exhibitions, and sometimes more than one. [Dunedin 1899 & 1925], Wellington had the last one to celebrate the Centennial 1840-1940, in 1940.
